Signs of Menopause

Some menopause signs appear several years before your periods actually end and last for several months or several years after that. Perimenopause is the first signs of menopause. Perimenopause is the name given to a change in the menstrual cycles. Periods may:

• become lighter
• become heavier than usual
• be skipped one or more months

Hot Flashes or hot flushes begin during perimenopause. About three-quarters of women get hot flashes. Symptoms of a hot flash are:

• brief periods of warmth
• blushing
• rapid pulse

They last from 30 seconds to several minutes.

Other signs of menopause include:

• changes in sleep patterns
• Irritability
• Vaginal Dryness
• Urinary Changes
• Other Changes
• headaches
• dizziness
• breast tenderness
• bloating
• weight gain
• heart palpitations
• dry skin and hair
